R + T 2009 will place a special focus on rising levels of energy consumption, according to the show’s producer, Messe Stuttgart. Calling it “one of the most pressing problems of our time,” the producers intend the show to demonstrate that “installing cutting-edge sun protection, roller shutters . . . with effective control and excellent heat insulation can lead to outstanding energy savings,” according to a statement released August 7.
    R +T 2009 will be held February 10 to 14 in the new Stuttgart exposition site, Stuttgart, Germany. Some 700 exhibitors and 60,000 trade visitors from around the world are expected.
    Energy efficiency will be the subject of a series of lectures for architects presented on the mornings of February 11 and 13, with a trade forum on sun protection scheduled in the afternoon, according to Messe Stuttgart.
