An earlier poll at www.DWConline.com suggested that 88 percent of respondents didn’t offer motorization in their product mix. We suspected a technical glitch, fixed it and tried again.
Our more recent poll responses seem to reflect what’s really going on out in the marketplace.
• Nearly two out of three respondents (64%) say motorization is at least “moderately important” to their customers.
• Half say motorization is “growing in interest” (36%) or “very important” (14%)
• Few—only 7%—say they don’t offer motorization
How sales of motorization are doing is the subject of another poll. In the meantime, one respondent may have hit the nail on the head with his comment: “Many would like to have it, but usually cost holds them back.”
