The WCAA will conduct its semi-annual board meeting in Chicago, IL, on September 20, 1997. Among its agenda items the board will discuss the election of new officers, nomination of a new board member to fill a West region vacancy and other issues that will guide the association to better serve its members as well as the industry.
In addition, the BBB also will begin its own consumer promotion warning buyers to beware of deceptive advertising. The promotion plays upon keywords such as "sale" and "free." The BBB has asked Mendenhall to co-chair a committee that will focus on seeking out industry retailers to assist in setting advertising guidelines.
If there are any issues you would like the board to discuss, please contact the WCAA office.
