The Southern Design & Workroom Conference is just days away, and we’re all excited about getting together again—this time in Knoxville, TN!
The D&WC conferences are built around the ideas of innovation, interaction, instruction and inspiration, and all of these ideas will be prominent in the seminars and the exhibit hall. Nowhere else will so much be available for your business in one place at one time.
Innovation will be showcased by our exhibitors, who will present new products, tools and sources for the materials to make your designs and fabrications not just meet, but exceed, your clients’ expectations and set you apart. Our seminar leaders will feature new ideas, methods and techniques in the areas of design, construction and business management that will improve how your business is run.
Interaction will be obvious—for three and a half days registered designers and fabricators will have so many opportunities to meet, mingle and talk about what they love the most. From informal gatherings to seminar sessions, a reception and a sit-down networking dinner, you’ll be surrounded by so many others sharing ideas and exchanging tips. This year, for the first time, we’ve scheduled an attendee/exhibitor reception right in the exhibit hall Saturday afternoon. It’s a great chance to relax and re-visit suppliers, exchange contact information and maybe make those final decisions!
Instruction will be found, certainly, in the schedule of 56 seminars led by 22 instructors covering fabrication, design, upholstery and general business at beginning to advanced levels. But don’t overlook the knowledge and expertise that’s found in the exhibit hall! Here, the industry’s top-level suppliers for designers and workrooms are available for questions and instruction. And don’t forget—only the D&WC Design & Workroom Conference offers the Working Workroom™, a functioning drapery workroom exploring workroom layout and operations as well as equipment.
Finally, inspiration. Everywhere you look you are bound to see something or meet someone to give you an idea, a spark and the encouragement to return to work recharged and ready to put what you’ve learned, talked about and purchased into action. From our keynote speaker, Karla Nielson, to our instructors and our exhibitors, the ideas and the excitement of running a design and workroom business will be catching.
The idea behind the D&WC conferences, really, is to take the design and workroom industries to the next level. Here is your best opportunity to do that. Have a safe trip to Knoxville!
