EXCITING WINDOWS! SELLS FIRST FRANCHISES
Exciting Windows! has sold its first franchises, according to Steve Bursten, CEO, and Steve Wishnow, president. Joe Barnett, an Exciting Windows! area franchise manager and owner of The Reflective Designer Middleton, MA, has sold four unit franchises—the first group since the company began offering the franchising opportunity earlier this year.
The new owners are Pauline Doody, Beverly Ferguson, Elaine Monaco and Denice Willwerth—all of whom were recruited and trained by Barnett. Under the franchise agreement, each woman will operate an independent, full-service shop-at-home business, which includes design, sales and installation of all custom window covering from draperies, curtains and top treatments to blinds, shades and shutters, as well as bedding, decorative accessories and upholstery, according to a company statement. The women will continue to be mentored by Barnett and receive ongoing educational training through Window Coverings University and WCUonline.
Barnett worked with the new owners over the past year in helping each develop their client bases by providing leads, sales training, national marketing power, proven business systems and technology, the company states
Exciting Windows! reports a network of more than 100 licensed members in 30 states.
