All designs were judged on the following criteria: originality and innovation; design that defines elegance; production feasibility/ease of manufacturing; and applicable to a current home décor style.
Awards of Excellence were given to five runners up in this year’s competition: Second place was presented to Tonya Corner, Laurel, MD; third place to Diana Januska, North Ridgeville, OH; fourth place to Barbara Holley, Bryan, TX; fifth place to Melinda Conley for a second design she entered; and sixth place to Shanna Neims, Bremerton, WA..
