Hunter Douglas provides Child Safety Kits for all pleated and honeycomb shades with loose cords and tassels. The kit includes two cord cleats, mounting screws, and a safety tips card that instructs consumers how to use the cleats and recommends other methods for keeping cords out of children's reach. Cord Tensioner
In 1996, Hunter Douglas developed the first Cord Tensioner to improve the safety of cord-looped products. A specially-designed cord weight with spring tension and bracket keeps cord loops taut without hindering operation.
