ASID INDUCTS FELLOWS

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Washington, DC, in October inducted 11 individuals as Fellows, the highest honor the society bestows on its members. The award is given based on service to the interior design profession by promoting excellence and achievement from within ASID.

The new Fellows are: H. Don Bowden, Barbara Campbell, Sandy Friend, Marilyn Hansen, Jim Marstiller, Phyllis Moore, Mary Jane Reeves, Melinda Sechrist, Michael Souter, Judy Verges and Diane Worth.

The new inductees all bear the appellation of FASID. Induction into fellowship is based on distinction in one of five areas: promoting the excellence and advancement of interior design; enhancing the profession of interior design by advancing the education, training or the practice of interior design; providing leadership to the interior design industry and the profession of interior design; ensuring the advancement of human living standards through improving interior environments; and preserving the health, safety and welfare of the public.
