Messe Frankfurt, Inc., Atlanta, GA, says it is repositioning its Heimtextil Americas show to focus on upholstery and decorative fabrics, its dominant group of participants in the past few years. To highlight the change, the name of the show will be changed to Heimtextil America Fabrics. It will be held March 17 to 19, 2002, to coincide with the beginning of the fabric buying season, it says.
The show will be held at the Miami Beach convention center, Miami Beach, FL, simultaneously with INTIMA/INTIMA Tex, Messe Frankfurt's trade show for intimate apparel and fabrics. Co-locating the two independent events at the same time will allow for cost efficiencies for exhibitors and buyers alike, it says, including price reductions for exhibit space.
First launched in 1992, Heimtextil Americas has become an annual event for southeastern U.S. and Latin American markets. Its exhibitors have showcased a wide range of upholstery, decorative fabrics, tassels and trimmings for residential and commercial markets.
