TECHNIKU MOVES TO NEW FACILITY

Techniku Inc. has relocated its U.S. offices to a new facility in a state-of-the-art business park in Broomfield, CO. Reflecting the many changes within Techniku, the new location will be the international headquarters of the organization and will service North America and South America. Techniku will maintain its offices in Woerden, Holland, supporting Europe, Asia and Australia.

While both locations will maintain functioning engineering, operations and sales and marketing departments, the Broomfield headquarters will strategically lead all efforts. In addition to the functional departments, the new facility includes a product training and demonstration facility that was not available previously.

Techniku designs, produces and markets automation systems for window coverings.

EASY QUOTE ADDS VENDOR DATABASES TO WEB SITE

Users of the Easy Quote System from Systems and Solutions, Pompano Beach, FL, now can log onto the Web site and download vendor databases right into their program. Customers are notified via e-mail that includes a direct link to the Web page. With just a few clicks, vendor inventory and prices are updated.

“This new feature allows us to notify our customers when a vendor has updated its database so they can quickly and easily update their programs,” states Joseph Bird, president, Systems and Solutions.

TEXTOL LAUNCHES NEW WEB SITE, PRODUCT RANGE

Textol Systems, Carlstadt, NJ, announces a new Web site (www.draperysupply.com) and catalog. Textol’s range of available products has now increased threefold from its previous offerings. The company continues to be a Gold Status distributor for Velcro USA, and is pleased to have recently become a distributor for FirmaFlex products.

HIGHLITE RELOCATES, EXPANDS LINE

After six years of successful operation in its original facility, HighLite, Inc. has recently completed and occupied a new facility located eight miles east of downtown Dallas in Mesquite, TX.

This new facility offers the company the ability to expand its product line and continue to efficiently service existing customers while increasing its customer base, the company says.

KNOTT, BARRETT TEAM ON DESIGN, PRODUCT PRESENTATION

Bruce Knott, Springs Window Fashions, and guest speaker Deb Barrett presented a highly informational seminar entitled “Designing Choices” in June in Pittsburgh, PA, sponsored by Window Fashions, Inc., Cheswick, PA.
v As part of the presentation, the two showcased products such as Tradewinds Natural Shades, the new Fresco Roman shades, new decorative drapery hardware and unveiled the latest addition: Synergy.

Barrett’s segment on “Dressing Up Your Windows” was a rousing success. During her unique presentation she discussed how to sell more using a variety of fabrics, trims, decorative hardware and new design ideas. The seminar was presented to nearly 100 attendees.

TEX-FURN, HANES EXPAND BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP

Tex-Furn Consultants, Inc. has assumed additional duties for Hanes Fabrics, a Leggett and Platt Co., in the area of domestic sales.

Bill Negin, Tex-Furn owner, says his firm has been actively involved with Hanes for the past year in export sales. “When they asked us to take on the larger role, we were very happy to accept,” he says.

Both Hanes and Leggett and Platt will be represented in Deco-Contract in Brussels this month.

SULLIVANS OFFERS NEW TRIM COLLECTIONS

Sullivans USA, Inc. announces new exclusive lines of manufactured trimmings, cording, tassels and tiebacks.

Nine collections of solid, variegated and mingled colors are available. An assortment of small, medium and large tiebacks, tassels and chair tassels, braids, twists and double twists, bullion and ruched fringe, cording and flange/lip cording can be found in Sullivans’ trim collections.

CREATIVE QUILTING ADDS CUSTOM DUVET INSERTS

Creative Quilting, Houston, TX, now offers custom-size duvet inserts. With deeper mattresses and higher beds being offered by bedding companies, old standard sizes for duvet inserts were not large enough for the treatments needed.

The company’s new inserts are custom-made to any width and length up to 118 inches wide by 108 inches long. They are filled with polyester batting at nine ounces per square yard with 13 ounces per square yard available as an option.

HOLLANDER HOME FASHIONS DEBUTS SELF-BRANDED PRODUCT LINE

GCABC TO CELEBRATE NEW FACILITY

Gulf Coast American Blind Corp., (GCABC) is moving to a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Naples, FL, after outgrowing its previous buildings.

The 60,000-square foot manufacturing facility will house over 135 employees in departments such as production, accounting, customer service, shipping and receiving, purchasing and inventory, administration, human resources and warehouse. The new facility offers dealers expanded services including product line expansion and inventory, increased production and improved quality control.

GCABC will celebrate the new facility and its many years of hard work, dedication and commitment to the industry with a three-day Hollywood-style event from October 2 to 4. The celebration begins with an American Celebration of Stars Gala Grand Opening on October 2, followed by the Hunter Douglas SolutionsSM Regional Trade Fair and VIP Ribbon-cutting Ceremony on October 3, and ends with an All-American Barbeque and Family Day on October 4.
