COMFORTEX APPOINTS DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS
Comfortex Corp., Maplewood, NY, has appointed William Waldron director of logistics.
In his new position, Waldron will be responsible for production scheduling,
materials planning, purchasing, warehousing and distribution for the company’s
four facilities in the United States.
Waldron comes to Comfortex with extensive experience in manufacturing and materials
management and in a variety of industries including custom metals, computer systems,
defense electronics and industrial products. Most recently he was at Feuz Mfg.
Inc. as director of materials.
GHIRARD JOINS SUPERIOR ROMAN SHADES
Aline Ghirard has joined California-based Superior Roman Shades™. She will
be involved with developing the company’s customer care department.
Ghirard’s experience in customer service will facilitate Superior’s
management of its fast growing dealer base and help fulfill its vision of bringing
workroom-quality Roman shades to the residential market through its network of
dealers.
PEREZ JOINS ALLIED INTERNATIONAL
Bob Perez has joined Allied International and will be working with Stephen Chiang
and associates in marketing and distributing wood blind components.
Perez has 24 years of experience in the wood window covering industry. Allied
International produces wood blinds in a 100 percent vertically integrated operation
from logs to the popular finished slats, various valance and bottom rails, raw,
painted, stained, in stock or custom colors.
RICHVIEW ADDS VP SALES, MARKETING
Richview Window Coverings, City Of Industry, CA, has named Dean Lerch vice president
of sales and marketing. Lerch will be responsible for full-line sales, marketing
and new product development at Richview.
Lerch comes to the companay with more than 15 years of industry sales experience
with Hunter Douglas Fabrication, Smith + Noble and, most recently, as vice president
of sales and marketing for The Venetian Blind Co., Inc.
LOUPE HONORED AS GOP BUSINESS LEADER
Jeffrye Loupe, Creative Designs International, San Bernardino, CA, has been honored
as a 2003 Businessman of the Year by the National Republican Committee’s
Business Advisory Council.
Loupe was recognized as a top business leader in the United States for integrating
successful business practices with support for the Republican party.
WILKES CELEBRATES ANNIVERSARY AT WINDOW FASHIONS INC.
Window Fashions, Inc., Cheswick, PA, congratulates Mike Wilkes on his sixth anniversary
with the company. Wilkes joined Window Fashions, Inc. in November 1997 as an
assembler. He was promoted in February 2003, and he now is floor supervisor in
the Wood Department.
GLEN OAK ADDS COX AS SE MANAGER
Larry C. Cox has joined Glen Oak Lumber & Milling, Ball Ground, GA, as manager
of its Southeastern U.S. distribution center located in Ball Ground. Cox assumed
all duties previously handled by David Warford, including product sales, distribution
and facility management for millwork and shutter components marketed to professional
dealers, home centers and shutter manufacturers across several states.
Cox previously held a 25-year career with Georgia Pacific Corp. (GP), where he
served as Midwest region millwork manager, based in Atlanta, GA. He started out
as a GP outside sales representative and gained additional experience as a distribution
center millwork manager and district sales manager. During a GP restructuring
period, he worked as a distribution center millwork manager for Weyerhaeuser. |
