SUPERIOR ROMAN SHADES NAMES BDD DISTRIBUTOR
Superior Roman Shades™ has named Arizona-based BDD, Inc. as a distributor
for its custom Roman shades. This fall, BDD, Inc. will begin distributing its
line of custom shades.
“[BDD’s] solid reputation and 50 years in the window covering industry
gives them the experience and network to bring our custom Roman shades to their
market,” says Marco Bonilla of Superior.
Superior is a West Coast manufacturer of custom roman shades. BDD, Inc. has locations
in Phoenix and Tucson, AZ; Albuquerque, NM; Salt Lake City, UT; and Las Vegas,
NV.
EASY QUOTE ADDS RM COCO AS VENDOR
Easy Quote has announced the addition of RM Coco to its list of available fabric
databases. Easy Quote users with accounts with RM Coco now will be able to include
the fabric database in their software for quick and easy quoting.
When RM Coco updates its fabric inventory and pricing, Easy Quote users will
be issued an updated database so that all the pricing and fabric information
will remain current.
EVAN MARSH TEAMS WITH PATTERNS PLUS
Evan Marsh Designs has formed a relationship with Patterns Plus to include all
of Patterns Plus’ designs in its new release of DreamDraper, a PC-based
design and visualization system for window treatments introduced in April at
the International Window Coverings Expo.
Designers and workrooms now can utilize the DreamDraper system to adapt Patterns
Plus designs to fit their particular window types and sizes. The designs can
be portrayed to scale with or without additional window treatment components.
Patterns are clearly identified and can be ordered directly from Patterns Plus
or through a link on the Evan Marsh Designs Web site.
IFAI ANNOUNCES 2003 AWARD WINNERS
Winners of the 2003 International Achievement Awards were announced during the
Chairman’s Annual Breakfast at the Industrial Fabrics Association International’s
(IFAI) Expo 2003 in Las Vegas, NV, in early October.
The 56th annual competition received 291 entries from companies in 13 countries
in 26 categories. Entries were judged by a diverse panel of industry experts,
editors, architects, educators and design professionals selected for their knowledge
of the particular category of competition. Judging was based on complexity, design,
workmanship, uniqueness and function.
The awards were presented by Faith Fredericks, MFC, IFM, Banner Canvas, Ham Lake,
MN, and Cindy Lubin, W. L. Gore & Associates Inc., Elkton, MD.
Among the recipients of this year’s Awards of Excellence were: Rainier
Industries Ltd., Seattle, WA, in the Awnings—Commercial, Interior and Multi-Residential
category for a project in San Jose, CA; and Sunmaster of Naples Inc., Naples,
FL, in the Awnings—Single-Family Residential category for a beachfront
guest cottage. Sunmaster also received the Award of Excellence in the retractable
awnings category for a privacy lanai project.
ALLIANCE ADDS EIGHT-POUND QUILTING CONE
Alliance Thread & Supply, Warminster, PA, now has an eight-pound, knotless
cone of quilting top thread available. The cone configuration offers the highest
quality package integrity, travels better, offers a more precise and uniform
payoff and will fit onto conventional quilting thread racks without adapters,
the company says.
The eight-pound cone is ideal for reducing downtime, handling and package changeover
brining 76,000 yards of uninterrupted quilting, it adds. Threads are available
in most quilting top thread sizes. |
