LOCAL CHAPTERS

The WCAA is currently developing local networking groups in the following areas. These groups meet on a monthly basis and discuss topics ranging from marketing to fabricating to presentations from area business professionals.

If you are interested in attending, please contact the chapter contact person for meeting dates and locations.

Omaha, NE—Annie Davis: jsdavis@tconl.com; (402) 861-8121.
Southern MA—Pat Mahler: patmahler@aol.com.
Minneapolis, MN—Bill Jolley: pbjolley@mchsi.com; (952) 894-2142.
Chicago, IL—Diane Sherman: windowdzn@aol.com; (847) 955-0083.
Tidewater/VA Beach—Deborah Stone: clarity@cox.net; (757) 499-6668.

NATIONAL MEETING

The WCAA will hold its annual National Meeting on Thursday April 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sheraton Inner Harbor, Baltimore, MD. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the International Window Coverings Expo.

The meeting will feature an update of Association activities along with plenty of time for networking and socializing. This is an excellent opportunity to meet your National Board of Directors along with other attendees of the conference. Light appetizers will be provided along with a cash bar. For additional information, contact Mark Nortman in the WCAA office at (888) 298-9222.

DRAPERY YARDAGE FINDER AVAILABLE

The WCAA announces the addition of The Drapery Yardage Finder to the list of educational and sales aids available to the window coverings industry. It is an easy-to-use, reliable guide to drapery and pleated valance yardage.

It works with both plain and pattern-repeat fabrics, estimates for 45-, 48/50- and 54-inch fabrics with three choices of fullness for each size. It also makes all seam, hem and heading allowances, so no calculations are necessary.

If you are relatively inexperienced or not confident about yardage estimating, please call the WCAA at (888) 298-WCAA to order one today.

ON-LINE TESTING NOW AVAILABLE

The WCAA is proud to announce the addition of online testing to both its Certified Workroom Professional and Certified Window Treatment Consultant programs. This new feature will enable participants to take their exams in their homes or offices and not have to travel to one of the testing sites. Contact Mark Nortman at the WCAA office to register or for more information.
