COMFORTEX NAMES SIMON RENO PLANT MANAGER
Comfortex Corp., Maplewood, NY, has named Mark Simon plant manager of its Reno,
NV, fabrication and distribution center. Simon will be responsible for the daily
operations of the Reno plant. In addition, he will be in charge of quality control
at the facility, working to refine fabrication and distribution processes.
Simon joins Comfortex with extensive experience in managing manufacturing systems.
Most recently he was vice president of operations for Game Tech International,
an electronic gaming company that served the charity, tribal and casino markets.
GARVIN HEADS MARKETING FOR O’HAIR SHUTTERS
O’Hair Shutters Ltd., Lubbock, TX, has named Greg Garvin marketing manger.
Garvin, co-founder of Simply Shutters, Theodore, AL, brings 15 years of shutter
customizing, retailing and distribution to the job.
Garvin, who along with his partners sold Simply Shutters one year ago, was O’Hair
Shutters’ third largest customer with distributors in New Orleans, LA;
Jackson, MS; Pensacola, Destin and Panama City Beach, FL.
UNIQUE EXPANDS TEAM OF SALES CONSULTANTS
Unique Wholesale Distributors, Inc., Fort Lauderdale, FL, has added two new sales
consultants.
The new sales representative responsible for accounts throughout the Southeast,
primarily Georgia, is Gary McCall. He has been in sales for more than 10 years.
Tom Toolan has joined the company as a salesman serving the Florida Panhandle,
Mississippi and Alabama. He comes with more than 12 years of outside sales experience
in the industry.
ELMAR ADDS TWO TO SALES TEAM
Elmar Window Fashions™, Willow Grove, PA, has introduced two new sales
consultants in North Carolina.
Greg Dodrill will service the company’s dealers in Raleigh and surrounding
counties, and Nancy Sherman will cover Charlotte and Greensboro. Both individuals
are accomplished professionals with extensive experience in sales, merchandising
and business development.
SOLATECH PROMOTES DIETZ, ADDS BINKLEY
Solatech, High Point, NC, announces two appointments.
Kevin Dietz has been named Chief Technical Officer (CTO). He was promoted from
manager of application development effective February 1, 2003. Dietz has been
with Solatech from its start and has worked with founder Ray Soltis for the past
eight years.
Christine Binkley has been named new Product Development and Documentation Specialist.
She comes to Solatech with 18 years of industry experience with Levolor Kirsch.
She will work to further help support the company’s customers and its Solatech
Partnership Alliance members.
DRAPER NAMES WINDOW COVERINGS MANAGER
Jere Gianola, MFC, has joined Draper, Inc., Spiceland, IN, as window coverings
manager. He comes to the company from EGE System, where he served most recently
as vice president.
In his new role, Gianola will oversee window shade sales and product development.
He assumes a role filled in past years by Fred Mann, who is remaining with Draper
as a consultant.
Gianola is certified by the Industrial Fabrics Association International as a
Master Fabric Craftsman (MFC) in two categories: Awnings and Marine Canvas Products.
Gianola’s first priority at Draper is to work closely with the company’s
sales staff to continue improving dealer support, and creating closer working
relationships in the architectural community. In addition, Gianola and Draper
are working on several new product introductions. |
