Collett Named President of Techniku, Inc. Techniku Holland, Woerden, Netherlands, has appointed Robert Collett as president of Techniku, Inc., its U.S. base of operations. Collett will head all aspects of Techniku, Inc. including the creation and management of national sales, marketing, operations, finance and new product and business development. Collett has more than 15 years of experience in the field of window treatment motorization. He has developed numerous motorized products along with the associated marketing and sales programs used by major fabric manufacturers and independent fabricators. Techniku is an international manufacturer of motors and controls for window treatments. Bentz Joins ADO Michael Bentz has joined the sales team at ADO, Spartanburg, SC. He will service the northern part of California. Bentz comes to his new post well recommended for both his experience and knowledge in the drapery industry. Prior to joining ADO, he had been a salesman for another leading company for more than 14 years. Initially, Bentz got an early start in the industry by working in his family's drapery business and learning the trade by installing. He was able to work his way through college with this trade prior to going into the sales aspect of the business. Window Fashions, Inc. Adds Bowser Window Fashions, Inc., Cheswick, PA, welcomes Terri Bowser to its customer service department as contract manager. Bowser brings to her new post an extensive background in customer service and six years of management experience. Somfy Hires Marciano Melissa Marciano was recently hired as marketing assistant at Somfy Systems, Inc., Cranbury, NJ. Marciano brings to her new position numerous experiences in the public relations and marketing fields through internships and directed studies. She is a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a degree in creative writing and a minor in business administration. ITA Expands Sales Staff ITA, Inc., St. Augustine, FL, announces the appointment of Pedro J. Agosta as district manager for south Florida, the Caribbean and Latin America. Agosta previously was an executive with Sheraton World Resort where he was responsible for a staff of 240 people as well as budgeting and purchasing. He will be responsible for selling ITA's entire product line. Jack Switzer has been named regional sales manager for the West Coast. Switzer previously held the same position at Allied Extrusions. He will sell ITA's entire product line working with fabricators, distributors and retailers. Seabrook Hires Three Account Execs Three new account executives have been added to the sales team at Seabrook Wallcoverings, Inc., Memphis, TN. Barry Brooks has been hired as the new contract account executive for Louisiana and southern Mississippi. He brings more than six years of sales experience in the home fashions industry to his new position. Following nine years of experience in the wall coverings industry, Mark Horner is the company's new contract account executive for Albany, NY, and western New York. Susan Russell will service customers in the Tampa Bay, FL, area. She has more than 11 years of sales experience and is a member of the Clearwater and St. Petersburg Chambers of Commerce. Brewster Welcomes Kohn, Chase, Kramer Brewster Wallcovering Co., Randolph, MA, has added three new sales representatives. The company welcomes Marlo Kohn as its new sales rep in the Midwest. Kohn brings to his new position more than 24 years of experience in sales and marketing management in the wallpaper industry. He previously worked for major wall covering distributors and manufacturers including Thibaut Wallcoverings & Fabrics; Fred Anderson, Inc.; and Gencorp Polymer Products. Mary Chase joins the company's Southern sales team. She will service retail customers in its newest territory covering Jacksonville and southern Florida. Chase brings more than 13 years of sales experience with several major manufacturers and distributors of wall coverings to her new post. Paul Kramer has been added to the Midwest territory. He will cover retail customers in northern Ohio. With more than 20 years of experience in the wallpaper industry he comes to Brewster after serving as regional sales manager for a major wall covering manufacturer and distributor. Zuraw Heads Waverly Home Stores Waverly Home, New York, NY, announces the appointment of Glenn R. Zuraw to the position of director of stores. In his new position, Zuraw will oversee the opening of new stores for the Waverly Home Division of F. Schumacher & Co. as well as supervise the operations of existing stores. Prior to joining the company Zuraw served as a district manager for the Brookstone Co. and was a store manager for The Sharper Image. The company also announces the promotion of Marjorie Ford to the position of marketing manager for designer markets for the Greeff division. Ford will be responsible for the development of the Greeff and Waverly brands that target the designer market. Prior to taking her new post at Waverly, Ford served as manager of public relations for the Schumacher division of F. Schumacher & Co. She started with the company in 1991 as an assistant to the director of public relations. She was promoted to the position of public relations coordinator in 1993 and then to the position of manager of public relations for Schumacher that same year. Whalen Joins Eisenhart Patrick Whalen has been hired by Eisenhart Wallcoverings Co., Hanover, PA, to work the central to northern Ohio and western Pennsylvania territory for independent retailers, decorators and designers. Whalen will represent Eisenhart®, Color Tree Designs® and Ashford House® wall coverings, borders and fabrics. He is a seasoned wall coverings professional with experience that includes regional sales manager for S.A. Maxwell and sales for Brewster Wallcoverings. Carnegie Appoints Holloway Carnegie, Rockville Center, NY, announces the appointment of Remona Holloway as vice president of sales. She brings a strong background and expertise in textiles to her new post. Holloway has more than 10 years experience in the contract textile and furniture industries and has worked in all aspects of the business. Her range of expertise includes textile design, development and research as well as product launches. Appointments Announced at Messe Frankfurt Messe Frankfurt, Inc., Atlanta, GA, announces the promotion of Deborah Green to vice president. She is the former director of trade fairs for North America. In her new position, Green will focus on strengthening existing American trade fairs as well as exploring new areas of potential interest. Green has been with the trade fair organizer for almost six years. Lee Holsberry has been added as trade fair manager. Holsberry will work to expand the company's newly positioned Heimtextil Americas fair in Miami, FL, by broadening its program to include the existing residential export-oriented base along with the contract industry. Her background includes experience as publishing sales manager at the Atlanta Market Center along with marketing stints at Franklin's Printing and the Florida Entertainment Commission. AWFS Names Trade Show Director Ray Gonzalez has been appointed director of trade show development for the Association of Woodworking & Furniture Suppliers (AWFS). He will be responsible for working with show committees in developing show plans and managing budgets. He also will serve as the liaison overseeing and monitoring the contracted show management and marketing and public relations firms. Gonzalez has more than 20 years of special event and trade show management experience. He began his career as the convention services manager at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California. He also served as director of operations for the California Gift Show. |
