RollEase Expands Sales Force
RollEase, Inc., Stamford, CT, has hired three regional account representatives, each a seasoned window coverings professional. Erling Olsen, formerly with Mark Window Products and Custombilt, joins the company with 14 years of window coverings sales experience. Olsen will be responsible for the company's Northwest territory, which includes Colorado, Utah, Nevada, northern California, Oregon, Washington and Canada's Pacific provinces. Diane Bradshaw brings 28 years of experience in the home furnishings industry to her new post. She will cover accounts in the Southwest including southern California, Arizona and New Mexico. Bradshaw managed more than 200 accounts including Sears & Roebuck, Montgomery Wards and Home Base as an independent sales representative for Kirsch. Lance Nichols, a nine-year window coverings veteran, joins the company as account executive for its Northeast territory. Formerly with Kasmir Fabrics and Comfortex Corp., Nichols' account base included department stores, furniture stores, fabric stores, decorating and home centers and interior designers. Lollis, Fuchslocher Join Brewster Brewster Wallcovering Co., Randolph, MA, has added two sales representatives. Andrea Lollis joins the company's Southwest Central region where she will service retail customers in the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle area. She brings seven years of sales and management experience to her new post. Christine J. Fuchslocher brings seven years experience in the hardware and housewares industry to the West Coast sales team. Her new territory will cover Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Utah and eastern Idaho. Somfy Adds Niemirka Somfy Systems, Inc., Cranbury, NJ, has hired Dan Niemirka as mechanical engineer. In his new position he will be involved in product development for the company's tubular motor division as well as with hands-on quality control testing to improve existing products. Niemirka has spent three years as a mechanical designer for construction or blue print documents. He also has experience in the three-dimensional models animation industry. Silent Gliss Names Matta to Midwest Post Silent Gliss USA, Inc., Loganville, GA, announces the addition of Allen Matta as regional sales consultant for the Midwest region including Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; and St. Louis, MO. Matta has more than 25 years experience in the window coverings industry. Most recently he held the position of district manager for Levolor Home Fashions. Roberts Heads Northern Cross Marketing Northern Cross Industries, Brattleboro, VT, has hired Cynthia Roberts as its sales and marketing manager. She brings nearly 10 years of experience in window coverings to her new post. Roberts will be instrumental in the company's plans to improve product awareness and to expand its product offering. Northern Cross is best known for Window Quilt, its energy-efficient window covering. Lauer Coordinates Techinku Marketing Nicole Lauer has been appointed marketing coordinator for Techniku, Inc., Denver, CO. Her responsibilities include the planning and implementation of the company's strategic and tactical marketing programs in addition to setting up customer and technical service departments. Lauer is new to the window coverings industry, but has worked previously for eight years with a manufacturer of scientific balances. Fletcher Joins Dixon Sales John Dixon, Inc., Cleveland, OH, has added Patty Fletcher to its team of sales representatives. Fletcher will serve customers in the Ohio and northern Kentucky region. Her experience includes starting and operating her own successful business in California for many years. |
Duralee Appoints Landgraf Duralee Fabrics, Ltd., Bayshore, NY, has appointed Mary Lynn Landgraf to the newly created position of director of export sales. She brings more than 17 years of experience in conducting international trade, marketing and promotion for domestic and international businesses to her new post. She has traveled extensively in more than 50 countries promoting U.S. products and services by opening new markets and establishing distributorships. Formerly Landgraf was the director of interntional sales with The Rug Barn. NeoCorp Hires Dammeyer NeoCorp, Pawtucket, RI, has appointed Mark A. Dammeyer as vice president of sales and marketing. He will direct the company's sales and marketing activities as well as its national and international expansion plans. Dammeyer formerly was the director of sales and marketing for a major industrial fabrics distributor. NeoCorp manufactures a complete line of window treatment cords using its patented InterWarp® manufacturing process. Morris Joins France Voiles Steve Morris has been named executive vice president of France Voiles Co., Inc., New York, NY. He will oversee the U.S. operations of the French manufacturer of sheer fabrics. Morris has 10 years experience in the window coverings industry, all of it spent at RollEase Inc. starting as a sales representative and most recently as director of national sales. Prior to joining RollEase, Morris was in the industrial textile industry. WestPoint Stevens Appoints Shapiro WestPoint Stevens Inc., New York, NY, has appointed Abby L. Shapiro to the newly created position of product manager for independent window fashions. In her new position, Shapiro will manage the ongoing development of both new and sourced product and oversee the marketing strategy for the division. Shapiro joins the company from Decorative Home Accents where she was vice president of product development for its window division. Waverly Names Angelides for Licensed Products Waverly, New York, NY, has appointed Christina Angelides director of design for licensed products. She is responsible for the design and development of licensed products for the Waverly brand, which currently has 13 licensing partners in bath, bedding, lighting, floor coverings and interior paints. Prior to joining the company Angelides was design director for infant bedding at WestPoint Stevens. She also has held the position of design manager for Martex where she was responsible for overseeing design for national markets. D'Amato Heads Astrup Marketing The Astrup Co., Cleveland, OH, has appointed Carolyn D'Amato advertising manager. She will be responsible for all of the company's marketing communications programs including advertising, sales literature and promotions, public relations, trade shows, direct mail campaigns and the company's annual product catalog. D'Amato previously was advertising manager for Astrup from 1990 to 1995. Since then she has worked as an account supervisor for Campbell-Ewald Advertising and as a senior account executive for Meldrum & Fewsmith Communications. Lamb Joins Hirsch Jimmy Lamb has joined Hirsch International, Hauppauge, NY, as manager of educational communication. The position was created to continue the company's program of providing after-purchase business support for its customers. Lamb will speak at seminars and write articles on a variety of embroidery, business and marketing topics. He also will represent the company at industry trade shows and seminars. Lamb brings more than 11 years of experience running a retail, wholesale and mobile embroidery business and writing articles for major trade publications. |
