Wonderful Web
I just opened your Web site today (www.dwcdesignet.com). More or less as a hobby I have been doing window treatments out of my home for a couple of years. However I am ready to do it more as a business. Your Web site is wonderful! It has practical and very helpful information. Most of the information I have run across on the Internet hasn't been anything new for me. Your Web site is different. Thank you! Robin Philpot

Back to School
Please, please, please. To describe the photograph ("Portfolio: The Greens of Summer," D&WC, June 1998) as Neo-classic is inexcusable. What you have are intended to be Mexican colonial pieces in that room: headboard, angel, tin lamp-the whole room is simple, clean and rustic. You are not educating anyone with your photographic descriptions. Shirley A. Roggen

Editor's reply: We goofed! There's no point in trying to get around it. While the room's clean simplicity might be seen as a Neo-classic response to previous design traditions the details you mention make trying to place it into that style too much of a stretch. A little refresher course may do us some good. Thanks for keeping us on our toes. |
