SUPERIOR PROMOTES PAUL Superior Shade & Blind Co., Inc., Pompano Beach, FL, has promoted Vince Paul to vice president, sales and marketing. Paul previously was national accounts manager and has been with Superior since July 1999. He succeeds Bill Hayduk who has left the company. Paul will continue to service national accounts with the help of David Fryburg, president, until such time the company decides to staff that position. Paul has more than 30 years of experience in the window fashions industry where he has held top executive positions. He previously was president of National Forest Products, and prior to that he was vice president of marketing for Joanna Window Coverings. DOTI'S EVANGER RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF 'TOMORROW'S LEADERS' Michele Evanger, co-founder of Designs Of The Interior (DOTI), Barrington, IL, was recently chosen as one of 25 successful executives under the age of 40 by The Business Ledger. Evanger, along with her husband Jim, are the owners of DOTI, a high-end home furnishings and interior design network of design stores and studios. SOMFY ADDS NEW ENGINEER Keens Cornet recently joined the industrial operations department at Somfy Systems, Inc., Cranbury, NJ, where he will work as electronics design engineer. He will be responsible for redesigning control systems that are used in conjunction with the company's motors. |

Waverly, New York, NY, has announced the promotion of Carolyn D'Angelo to the position of vice president, marketing and licensing, Waverly Lifestyle Group. D'Angelo will manage all marketing responsibilities, which include advertising, public relations and merchandising for the Waverly brand. She will continue to oversee all Waverly licensing activities including developing and executing strategic business plans for more than 20 licensees and major retail partners. D'Angelo assumes duties previously held by Daniel Bonini who is no longer with the company. D'Angelo joined Waverly in September 1999 as business manager, home fashions, and was promoted earlier this year to vice president, licensing. Prior to that she was vice president of the Disney Home Products Division of Springs Industries. |
