New Director The Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA) is proud to announce the election of Kitty Stein, Workroom Concepts, to the position of Director at Large. With more than 22 years experience in the window coverings industry, Stein's presence will help the association address the needs of independent workrooms. Industry Achievement Award Rowley Co., Gastonia, NC, was awarded the 1998 WCAA Industry Achievement Award at the 4th Annual Breakfast and Awards Ceremony at the Baltimore Convention Center. R.H. Rowley accepted the award on behalf of the entire company. The WCAA Industry Achievement Award is presented to a company or individual in recognition of outstanding contributions and service to the retail window coverings industry. Next Certified Window Treatment Consultant Test The deadline is fast approaching for registering for the Certified Window Treatment Consultant Program at the Pacific Home Fashion Fair on August 12, 1998, in Las Vegas, NV. As the most comprehensive, single educational program in the industry, it requires a minimum of one month self-study in preparation for the review seminar and examination at the show, so don't miss out by being too late.
