Awards Presented at Orlando Breakfast
WCAA hosted its Third Annual Breakfast Symposium on Friday, March 21, 1997, at the Orange County Conven-tion Center in conjunction with the World of Window Coverings[TM] show. There were 85 people in attendance. The program included the WCAA Industry Achievement Award, recognition of new Certified Window Treatment Consultants and the presentation of a Lifetime Membership award.

Ray Hicks, president of The Blind Maker, Austin, TX, was presented the 1997 Industry Achievement Award. The award is presented for outstanding service and support of the window coverings industry as well as of the WCAA.

Bonnie Kramer was presented the Lifetime Membership award, presented for her service as the association's interim executive director.

Brad Petit, Association Benefits Design Group, was presented with an award recognizing his hard work and dedication to the WCAA. Petit was instrumental in moving the association offices from Chicago, IL, to St. Louis, MO.


The Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA) is the only national non-profit trade association dedicated to the retail window coverings industry and to the dealers, decorators and designers who are its members. New Industry Partners
The WCAA welcomes Window Fashions, Inc., Cheswick, PA, and Lina'a Interiors, Greenville, MS, as its newest Industry Partners.

Industry Partners support the mission of the WCAA to make available educational opportunities, to encourage a code of business ethics and to work for the betterment of the industry.

Northeast Region Open House
On June 12, 1997, WCAA colleagues Ron and Carol Mills of Window Within will host a regional open house. Attendees will include local chapter members from Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

WCAA president Larry Lariviere will be there to greet those attending. Industry Partners, Comfortex Corp., Mill Supply and Mayflower Textile, will have displays and company representatives on hand. Joining as special guest will be Jill Dellinger of New England Fringe Exchange.
