BORDERS NAMED CREATIVE TUESKOES PARTNER, PRESIDENT

Creative Tueskoes Corp., Buckner, KY, announces that Robert S. Borders has joined the company as president and partner. Emery Tueskoes, founder and president since 1976, will assume the duties of CEO.

Borders brings more than 25 years experience in sales and marketing including international sales to the corporation. He is a native of Louisville, KY, with a B.A. degree from the University of Louisville where he also attended graduate school. He was appointed to the Kentucky District Export Council of the U. S. Department of Commerce in 1990 and continues volunteering in that capacity today.

Creative Tueskoes Corp. has been in business since 1976 manufacturing and selling laborsaving equipment to the drapery, window treatment, fabric and apparel industries. Tueskoes has more than 40 years experience in designing and manufacturing many unique machines used to automate fabric handling, measuring, cutting, pleating and other operations. He is the author of 12 patents issued for devices that improve the efficiency of fabric handling, inspection, measuring, cutting and storing.

TECHNIKU EXPANDS SALES TEAM

Techniku, Inc., Denver, CO, announces the addition of two new sales representatives.

Noel Bradley, based in Connecticut, joins Techniku with nearly 30 years of window coverings experience. He has experience from many facets of the industry from management to sales to fabrication. Bradley entered the industry as a fabricator in Ireland. He moved to the United States and has since worked as a sales representative for a wholesale fabricator, general manager for the window coverings division of BKM Total Office, and has owned his own company with a focus on retail and commercial accounts. His responsibilities include sales and customer support for the North Central and Northeast U.S. territories and eastern Canada.

Steve LeBlanc, based in Louisiana, comes to Techniku with more than 23 years of sales experience in the window coverings industry. He has worked with all sizes of companies within the industry from representing Kirsch to retail sales experience. In addition, he has worked as a sales representative for Robert Allen, an independent Hunter Douglas fabricator and, most recently, was the owner of a small wholesale distributorship. LeBlanc will be responsible for sales and customer support for the South Central and Southeast U.S. territories and Central and South America.

SANI USA ANNOUNCES NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM

Sani USA, has assembled a new management team based in Suwanee, GA. Mickey Head has been named business unit manager and will direct operations. Joining him are Bo Nilsson, sales and service specialist; Jerry Kibler, sales associate; Kheit Bui, technical engineer; and Arlene Langello customer service coordinator.

Sani USA is recognized as a leader in fabrication equipment for the window covering industry. It provides horizontal blind equipment and replacement machine parts.

BREWSTER NAMES SALES PERSON OF THE YEAR AT NATIONAL MEETING

Brewster Wallcovering Co., Randolph, MA, conducted a national sales meeting in Newport, RI, during which several honors were bestowed including sales person of the year.

Brewster president Ken Grandberg kicked off the meeting by welcoming the entire sales force and delivered a state-of-the-industry and state-of-the-company address. The three-day meeting led by Mike Landau, vice president of sales and marketing, focused on sales objectives and strategies, new product introductions and the company’s vision for the future.

At the Sales Person of the Year Awards Banquet, Ralph Stanley of the Mid-Atlantic region was honored with the Salesman of the Year Award having achieved the highest volume sales nationally. Kevin Cooney, Mid-Atlantic sales manager and John Sarris, New England’s sales manager were both awarded the distinction of Sales Manager of the Year.
