Digital D&WC

Have you tuned in to our Web site? If not, we hope you will in the near future and take a look at what we are doing. You can find us at: www.dwcdesignet.com. Our goal is to make DWCdesigNet one of your "favorites/bookmarks" and a forum for you to use as your industry information source.

Currently, you can find monthly issues of Draperies & Window Coverings magazine, new product information, industry news, our annual Directory & Buyer's Guide, sponsor information with links to their Web sites, industry calendar and links to other related sites on the World Wide Web.

Soon you will be able to review a new feature: The D&WC Library-catalogs from industry suppliers. Imagine looking up products, pricing, ordering and shipping information, all in one place and at one time without having to search through stacks of paper (and tracking down whoever forgot to put the catalog you need now back in the right spot!) and rows of bound brochures. You will be able to locate each company's catalog quickly (via our on-line Directory) by searching either the company name or by the product category "keyword." One of the truly great benefits of this service is the ability to have the correct and up-to-date information-whether it is price changes, color additions or deletions-right on your desktop. Suppliers can eliminate the need to deal with out-of-date order information, which can be discouraging for both the dealer and supplier.

Several additional projects are "on the drawing board" and will give you a chance to watch, listen, learn and win prizes, too. Some of this new information is classified, if you get my drift. It won't be too much of a job to list the ways you will find help. We hope you like television because we are working on a "pilot" to see if one of our ideas will fly.

We are making excellent progress on all of these projects, even if it is only bit by bit (or is that byte by byte?). The Digital Train has left the station and DWCdesigNet is your ticket to ride on the Technology Track. So hop aboard, visit us on the Web and see for yourself. The future is going to be fast, informative and fun, with a little help from your friends here at D&WC.
