HUNTER DOUGLAS ANNOUNCES ORGANIZATION CHANGES
Richard M. Pellett has been promoted to president and general manager
of the Hunter Douglas Window Fashions Division. Pellett began his career
at Hunter Douglas in 1986 as controller of the new Window Fashions Division.
In 1989, he was given added responsibility as director of administration,
and two years later he was promoted to vice president of finance and administration.
In 1995, Pellett was promoted to his most recent position as vice president
and general manager of the Window Fashions Division.
Kathy Burdick has been promoted to director, brand advertising and will
continue to be responsible for leading the consumer and trade advertising
initiatives of the company as well as activities related to development
including image assessment, brand positioning, sampling and collateral.
Maureen Marrone has been promoted to director, visual merchandising and
is responsible for expanding Hunter Douglas brand awareness and point-of-sale
presence. In addition to upgrading independent retail storefront environments,
Marrone is also responsible for the Window Fashions Gallery department
layouts and for the development of new visual merchandising for both the
Gallery program and other potential alliance programs.
Penny Steyer has been promoted to director, marketing communications and
will continue to be responsible for leading and coordinating the companys
important public relations activities. Steyer will continue to lead significant
corporate collateral projects such as the Beautiful Windows book, Gatherings
magazine, the Sweets commercial catalog and the Hunter Douglas annual
report.

WINDOW FASHIONS INC. APPOINTS HORNER INSIDE
SALES MANAGER
Window Fashions, Inc., Cheswick, PA, is pleased to announce the appointment
of Elaine Horner as inside sales manager. Elaine brings more than eight
years of retail managerial experience to her position.
AVENO WELCOMES NEW SALES MANAGER, TERRITORY MANAGER,
ART DIRECTOR
Aveno® Window Fashions, Inc., Atlanta, GA, has appointed Andy Johnson
to the position of sales manager. Prior to joining Aveno, Johnson held
sales and management positions at both Hunter Douglas, Inc. and Alta,
Inc. In addition to his 10 years of experience in the window coverings
industry, Johnson also carries 16 years of previous experience in the
commercial furniture industry.
Allen Feather has been appointed to the position of territory manager
for South Carolina. Prior to joining Aveno, Feather held sales positions
at both RollEase and Marietta Draperies. Feather has worked with
a broad range of clients in the window coverings industry, including lobbying
Congress on issues pertinent to the hotel and travel sectors.
Jamie Waggoner has been appointed to the position of art director for
the in-house Aveno graphics department. Prior to joining the company,
Waggoner worked as a graphic artist for the Washington University School
of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Her seven-year graphic arts background includes
both print and Web site design.
