HOHLER NAMED PRESIDENT OF LEVOLOR KIRSCH COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS

Jeff Hohler has been promoted to president of Levolor-Kirsch Commercial Operations, High Point, NC. Hohler has played a critical role in the revitalization of the Levolor Kirsch New Product Development and Marketing teams over the past 12 months. Under his leadership the organization has greatly expanded the quantity and quality of resources focused on critical initiatives such as the formation of cross-functional global product planning teams, a redefined branding strategy, business simplification programs and consumer targeted marketing initiatives.

Hohler was formerly employed with The Stanley Works and Black & Decker. While at Black & Decker he held progressive roles in sales, marketing and cross-functional management across varied product lines such as power tools, power tools accessories and lawn and garden products.


CALDWELL WELCOMES ALTMAN

Caldwell/VSR, Inc., Weslaco, TX, welcomes Lisa Altman as its director of marketing. She brings 17 years of progressive window fashion experience along with a diverse background in manufacturing, fabrication, sales, merchandising and marketing.

Altman’s responsibilities will include new product development, creating a strong branding strategy and leadership position in the industry, directing the company’s trade advertising initiatives as well as all marketing communications which will better support the Caldwell/VSR philosophy of 100 percent customer satisfaction.

Altman most recently worked for Smith and Noble as merchandising manager and prior to that was the director of marketing for America Hardwood Co.


WALLPAPER COUNCIL APPOINTS NEW OFFICERS

The Wallpaper Council, Chicago, IL, announces that it has elected FSC Wallcoverings president, John Fitzgerald, and Brewster Wallcoverings executive vice president, James Grandberg, as its new president and treasurer, respectively.

As the president of the Wallpaper Council, Fitzgerald will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities of the Council, provide strategic direction and serve as the voice of the organization as needed.

“As new and bolder styles, colors and designs capture consumer interest more than ever before, this is a critical time for our industry,” says Fitzgerald. “Our effort to promote wall coverings, as a group, is the key to the future of the industry.”

The Council is a trade marketing organization chartered to use public relations and advertising as vehicles for explaining and promoting the use of wallpaper in the residential marketplace. It comprises major wall covering manufacturers, distributors, design studios and industry suppliers.
