Vacation by the Shore

Idyllic days, dreamy nights. A vacation by the shore can be the best prescription for overcoming the stresses of 21st-century everyday life. But a restful retreat that evokes images of the sea doesn't have to be confined to a few short vacation weeks each year. A wide range of home furnishings are now available that contribute to a year-round sea-side respite—all within the comforts of one's own home, and sure to be enjoyed day in and day out.

Shown is weave #M07C, Desert Sand. Interior design by Alexandra Owen; photography by David Livingston.

Marina Bay by Parkview Designs, available from Brewster Wallcoverings, offers an array of extraordinary coastal images. Wall covering, border and ready-made accessories, including shower curtain and valance, combine in the Sea Shell series to offer a perfectly coordinated bath setting resplendent with finely-detailed images that are delicately colored in soft nature-inspired hues.
