Northeast Chapter Hosts Regional Open House
On May 21, 1996, the WCAA's Northeast Chapter meeting was held in North Hamption, NH, at member and vice president Larry Lariviere's place of business. Invitations were sent to WCAA members and prospects within a reasonable travel distance, and resulted in two dozen attendees from Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
The evening began with hors d'oeuvres and refreshments and continued with workroom demonstrations by Lariviere's staff of döfix product applications and the assembly of Comfortex Symphony® shades. Two WCAA Industry Partner representatives also were on hand -- Harry Swift of Lafayette Venetian Blind and Penny Remick of Seabrook Wallcoverings -- who each had a table to show their new products lines.
A short business meeting followed in which Chapter Chairman Alan Barnett encouraged dialogs between current and prospective members. Former WCAA director Joe Barnett also gave a history of the chapter and how it came together to work for the common good of all.
