ITA APPOINTS FRIES SALES MANAGER

ITA, Inc., St. Augustine, FL, has appointed Don Fries Midwest regional sales manager, establishing a new territory and new management position in an effort to give the window fashions marketer greater sales exposure in the area.

Fries brings to his position more than 26 years of experience in fabricator sales and training, as well as an in-depth knowledge of window fashions markets in the Midwest.

COMFORTEX NAMES ELLIS PLANT MANAGER

Comfortex Corp., Maplewood, NY, has appointed Scott Ellis the new plant manager of its Phoenix, AZ, wood alloy facility. Ellis will be responsible for the daily operations of the Phoenix manufacturing facility, as well as product research and distribution of Comfortex's Wood Alloy slat.

Ellis comes to the company with more than 20 years experience in the plastics extrusion field, as well as plant management positions.

SEABROOK APPOINTS TWO DIRECTORS, WELCOMES TWO ACCOUNT EXECS

Suzanne Ashley has been promoted to director of product development for Seabrook Wallcoverings, Inc., Memphis, TN. Ashley has 15 years of wall covering design and development experience and a BA in marketing from Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS. Her responsibilities include administrative management and creative direction for all new wall covering collections.

Seabrook also has named Neyl Williams director of distribution. Williams comes to Seabrook with more than 35 years of warehousing and distribution experience, as well as strengths in the areas of planning, organization and teamwork.

Karen Arnold joins Seabrook as an account executive for the territory of Colorado and Wyoming. Arnold earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Hawaii, and has 17 years of wall covering sales experience.

Seabrook also welcomes new contract account executive Renee Miller. She comes to Seabrook with previous experience in interior design and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyon College, Gambler, OH. Her territory will consist of the Chicago, IL, metro area.

 

NICHOLS HEADS LEE'S NATIONAL MARKETING EFFORTS

Lee's Decorative Showcase, Van Nuys, CA, announces Susan Nichols has been named its new marketing coordinator. Nichols has assumed responsibility for all aspects of Lee's national marketing.

Nichols brings to Lee's 10 years of marketing experience in the decorative trimmings field, where she was responsible for all forms of sales, catalogs and sample programs, in addition to overseeing advertising and trade show functions. She previously worked for Conso Products Co.

Lee's Decorative Showcase, founded in 1950, is an industry leading supplier of decorative trimmings, tassels, nails and other upholstery supplies.

BREHM AWARDED CHAIRHOLDER STATUS

Susan Brehm, vice president of design and development with Bomar Industries International, Inc., Lake Worth, FL, has been awarded chairholder status by Color Marketing Group (CMG). Brehm was one of 31 new CMG chairholders honored at the CMG 2001 spring international conference. Brehm has worked as a co-facilitator and committee member during her six-year membership with CMG.

"Chairholders are the backbone of our association, providing volunteer support and leadership for all of our activites," said CMG president Jay de Sibour. Chairholder status is obtained by being a member of CMG for three or more years, attending at least two of the last four conferences and accumulating a minimum of 50 chairholder points earned through member participation. Chairholders are identified by the designation "CMG" after their names.
