Ocho Rios, Jamaica, was the destination for 60 window coverings fabricators last May. The all-expense-paid trip to the Caribbean was sponsored by Comfortex Corp., Maplewood, NY, for its Composers who qualified by achieving preset sales goals for a variety of products. While in Jamaica, the group stayed at Ciboney, an all-inclusive, four-star resort, and enjoyed a raft tour down the Martha Brae River, a climb up Dunn's River Falls, trips to the rain forest, a beach party, golf, sailing, snorkeling and more. The trip "provided both Comfortex employees and customers alike the opportunity to get to know one another as people and friends, not just business acquaintances," said Tom Marusak, Comfortex president. The island getaway provide the right mix of business and pleasure. A sales meeting and cocktail party were held and provided the opportunity to network and speak openly. "Business is such an extensive part of our lives. It's great to have an opportunity like this to put our business lives and activities into the proper perspective once in a while," Marusak said.
