HUNTER DOUGLAS MANUFACTURING APPOINTS GARMYN

The Hunter Douglas Manufacturing Group, Broomfield, CO, announces the appointment of Keith E. Garmyn to the new position of director of operations. In this new role he will be key in accelerating the development and implementation of proven business processes such as inventory optimization and supply chain management.

Prior to joining Hunter Douglas in February 1999 as materials manager for the honeycomb business unit, Garmyn held key materials positions with Volant Sports, Wheatridge, CO; Baxter Healthcare Corp., Deerfield, IL; and Walgreen Co., also in Deerfield.

C & M NAMES SPEACE VICE PRESIDENT, SALES

C & M Wood Industries, Inc., Hesperia, CA, announces the appointment of Dan Speace to the position of vice president, sales. Speace will be responsible for expanding the company's wood blind component business and support services to the independent fabricator/distributor trade.

Before joining C & M, Speace started the Manufacturers' Representative Agency, Acasource, which he has operated for five years. Prior to that he was vice president, sales for fabrication and contract at Springs Window Fashions and Carey McFall Co. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where he majored in forest management.

 

WEICHSELBAUM, SANBORN, PERRONE JOIN FSC

FSC Wallcoverings, New York, NY, announces the appointment of Dana Weichselbaum to director, design for its Village brand. She will direct the design staff at Village and will have responsibility for selection of patterns, print methods and general direction of the collections. She also will work with her team on various special projects for national accounts.

Prior to joining F. Schumacher & Co. Weichselbaum was a stylist for Westpoint Stevens in its department store division. She designed for Joe Boxer, Target and Martex. Prior to Westpoint Stevens, she was with Motif Designs as a design director where she managed the design studio as well as production and graphics departments.

The company also announces the appointment of Elizabeth Sanborn and Charles Perrone as account managers.

Sanborn will serve the Michigan territory. She comes to FSC with 17 years in the wallpaper business both on the distribution as well as the retail side where she helped build business over a large geographic area.

Perrone will serve the territories covering Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. He most recently represented varied home furnishings products with a well-known independent sales group out of Texas. Previously he has held positions as buyer and retail store manager.
