Vertilux Fills Two Key Positions
Vertilux, Ltd., Miami, FL, has chosen two executives from within the company to fill top sales management positions. Raymond Vega has been promoted to executive vice president of sales and marketing. Seth Troner has been promoted to national sales director for the United States. Vega will be in charge of national and international sales. He has been with the company for nearly eight years, but has worked in the window coverings industry for more than 25 years. Vega comes to Vertilux after 10 years with Hunter Douglas. Troner has been with Vertilux for 11 years. In his new position he will work with the company's Miami and Dallas, TX, offices to maintain and increase sales of existing product lines as well as future products. Troner's promotion is his second in a year. Early last year Troner was promoted from customer service manager to national sales coordinator. Fitzgerald Heads Comfortex Marketing Comfortex Corp., Maplewood, NY, has appointed John Fitzgerald vice president of marketing. He will be responsible for managing the sales and marketing of the company's brands, customer service, human resources, retail stores and product research and development. Fitzgerald brings extensive senior executive experience in all areas of marketing, sales and product development to his new post. Previously with Garden Way Inc., he served as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to that he was director of marketing for Avon Products, Inc. where he developed a wide variety of sales and marketing programs leading to increased profits and new channels of distribution. He also has held positions at Michael Allen Co., Rowayton, CT, and American Can Co., Dixie Products Div., Easton, PA. Johnson Back with ADO Ed Johnson is back with ADO, Spartanburg, SC, as representative in Michigan and Indiana. He worked the same territory for ADO from 1988 to 1993. Johnson has been involved with textiles for many years with more than 15 years in the carpet business before joining ADO. Bagwill Takes BTX Midwest Post John Bagwill joins BTX Window Automation, Inc., Dallas, TX, as Midwest territory manager. In this capacity he will cover the states of Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Bagwill has many years of experience in both hard and soft window covering applications. His experience includes his own installation business, sales and marketing for Carole Fabrics and Designer Blinds and training for Hunter Douglas. Drucker Named Director of Duralee Studio Randy Drucker, vice president of design and marketing for Duralee Fabrics, Ltd., Bayshore, NY, has been named director of the company's new design studio, a state-of-the-art facility featuring CAD technology. Drucker's background in sales is expected to help retain his sensitivity to the different markets the company approaches as well as to the individual designer. |
