WCAA Notes

WCAA to Host Key Events
The WCAA will host several key events for attendees at the first World of Home Fashion show March 29 to 31, 1996, at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome, Indianapolis, IN.

On Saturday, March 30, the Second Annual WCAA Breakfast Symposium will begin at 7:45 a.m., and at 4:30 p.m. the WCAA Open House & Forum will be held. These events are in addition to the Certified Window Treatment Consultant Program, which will be held on Thursday, March 28.

Open House to Feature Talk by Pinder
The WCAA Open House & Forum from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the Indiana Convention Center will begin with a free seminar by LaVelle Pinder. Pinder is owner of LaVelle Pinder Decorating in Austin, TX, and a nationally known speaker.

Pinder's talk, "Creating a Local Chapter," will discuss networking, how Austin retailers have benefited from joining together, and what it takes to make it happen.

All show attendees are invited to attend and find out more about WCAA and where it's headed, and to express your opinion on industry issues and business needs. This will be an ideal opportunity to network and to join in lively discussions.

The Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA) is the only national non-profit organization dedicated to the retail window coverings industry.

For more information on becoming a member and member benefits, contact Bill Nathan, executive director, at (847) 480-7955; fax (847) 480-7960; e-mail info@wcaa.org.

Hensler to Keynote Breakfast Symposium
William Hensler of Coopers & Lybrand will be the keynote speaker at the Second Annual WCAA Breakfast Symposium to be held from 7:45 to 9 a.m., Saturday, March 30. Hensler is the managing associate of Coopers & Lybrand's Total Quality Management (TQM) consulting practice and is one of the leading experts in the United States on the field of TQM. This will be a great opportunity to be introduced to TQM concepts and practices -- ideas that can significantly impact any business.

The WCAA Breakfast Symposium is an industry event that combines the WCAA's annual meeting with a breakfast buffet, awards and informative speakers. Seating will be limited, so tickets must be purchased prior to the event. February 28 Certification Deadline

The deadline is February 28, 1996, in order to register for the Certified Window Treatment Consultant Program to be held at the World of Home Fashion show Thursday, March 28. A significant amount of self-study is required to be adequately prepared for the review seminar and examination held at the show -- so register now and don't miss out!
