WCAA Notes

From the Local Chapter in Boston
"After attending two recent local chapter meetings of WCAA this past year, I realized how important it is to belong to a national organization such as WCAA," says Debbie Baldi of Design Blenders, the new Boston chapter coordinator. "This organization affords the independent designer/decorator to receive many of the benefits which were previously available only to larger retailers and businesses. As a member of the 'new' Boston Chapter of WCAA (composed of all home-based business owners), it is important to make sure everyone knows of all the opportunities as well as the networking potential.

"Since September, The Boston Chapter has become a group of window professionals who have come to rely on each other for sources, advice, direction and, most important, a voice on the other end of the telephone during a bad day! WCAA is truly a professional trade organization but to the local chapters, it means real people!" Baldi says.

The Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA) is the only national non-profit trade association dedicated to the retail window coverings industry and to the dealers, decorators and designers who are its members. For more information on becoming a member and member benefits, contact WCAA at (888) 298-WCAA.
