Caribbean cruise hits the waves and the airwaves.
|
It was showtime aboard the Carnival Cruise Lines' Fun Ship Ecstasy as 637 participants, including 30 Graber® fabricators, set off on four days and nights cruising the western Caribbean having qualified in the Experience Life's Rewards promotion by Springs Window Fashions Division, Middleton, WI.
Taking the prime time slot during the October cruise was a late-night talk show a la Jay Leno/David Letterman staged aboard ship. Filling the guest chair were Springs product managers making appearances to plug their respective product lines and answer questions. Each guest also brought along video clips to entice the audience. The guests included Scott Fawcett, senior vice president of sales and marketing. Highly entertaining commericals spoofing television programing filled breaks in the show. A take-off on "This Old House" featured a wood blind installation, another spot parodied kitchenware info-mercials with aluminum blinds used to chop, slice and dice. Not only was the cruise fun and entertaining, but information was the common thread running through the four days. Graber product managers were on duty during the cruise to answer questions. In addition, the Graber sales force, product managers and customer service representatives always were available for input, comments and suggestions from the participants. The star of the cruise, however, may have been the excellent weather enjoyed by all. |
