GUNSALLUSES HEAD NEW AHC EASTERN CENTER

Bob Gunsallus and Nancy Gunsallus have been named managers of the new American Hardwood Co. (AHC) Eastern Region Distribution Center in Tucker, GA. The announcement follows a strategic alliance between AHC and American Wood Finishers, Inc., Tucker, GA, that brings the Gunsalluses' many years of industry experience to the AHC team. The 60,000-square-foot facilty near Atlanta, GA, was reintroduced as AHC's regional distribution center in late July.

EVJY NAMED REDISHADE NATIONAL SALES MANAGER

Dick Evjy has been appointed to a newly created position heading national sales for RediShade, Inc., Santa Rosa, CA. He will assume responsibility for overall management of the sales initiative in the company's rapidly growing RediShade® temporary shade and Window Poster® novelty businesses.

Evjy brings more than 25 years of experience in both home textile and alternate window coverings sales and marketing to his new position. He is former senior vice president of Robertson Factories. He also has worked for Kenney Mfg. and Colony Corp., which have contributed to his insight into all facets of the window coverings market.

C & M EXPANDS SALES, MARKETING TEAM

C & M Wood Industries, Hesperia, CA, has announced the addition of a nationwide sales and marketing team.

Thomas J. Raad has joined the company as director of sales and marketing to head national and international sales and marketing management as well as the East Coast sales division. He brings more than 22 years of sales and marketing management experience to his new post. He has worked in the wall coverings and window fashions industries for national manufacturers and distributors.

Jeanne Lane will be the new regional account executive for the South-Central and Mountain territory including Texas, southern California and Mexico. She brings 19 years of soft and hard window fashions experience to her new post. She has served in a range of capacities from sales and operations managment for a wholesale fabricator to a regional account executive for a national window fashions manufacturer.

Carmen Campbell will oversee regional account management for northern California, the Northwest, Arizona, Hawaii and western Canada. She brings more than 18 years of sales experience to her new position. Campbell has worked in both the wall coverings and window fashions industries for national manufacturers as an executive account manager calling on dealers, distributors and leading wholesale fabricators.

 

REICHERT JOINS TECHNIKU

Janelle Reichert has been appointed to the position of accounting manager for Techniku, Inc., Denver, CO. Her responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, integrating advanced systems and controls into the company and assisting in strategic financial decisions. Reichert is new to the window coverings industry, but previously has worked nine years in the field of accounting with various companies.

DURALEE PROMOTES BOLDEN

Eric Bolden has been promoted to the position of sales manager for the Chicago, IL, showroom of Duralee Fabrics Ltd., Bayshore, NY. He will be responsible for overseeing all showroom operations, sales and servicing designers. Bolden has been with the company for eight years. Prior to his position with Duralee he was in retail for 12 years.

SEABROOK ADDS FOUR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVES

Seabrook Wallcoverings, Inc., Memphis, TN, has added four new sales account executives.

Beth Chapman has been named contract account executive in the Dallas, TX, metropolitan area. She brings many years of experience in both sales and as an interior design consultant to her new position.

The company's new account executive in the northern Ohio area is Joyce Raque. She brings a solid background in the sales profession to her new post.

David Sisk is the new account executive representing Seabrook in Alabama for both retail and contract accounts. He has several years of experience in the wall coverings industry.

Representing the company in the Washington, DC, Maryland and northern Virginia area is Mark Stites. He brings experience in the wall coverings industry to his new post.

MATHEWS HEADS JOHNSTON'S DECORATIVE UPHOLSTERY BUSINESS

Johnston Industries, Inc., Columbus, GA, has named Bob Roy Mathews head of sales and merchandising of decorative upholstery for the company's finished fabric division. He will be headquartered at Johnson's Greensboro, NC, location and will oversee the Wellington contract, casual and residential lines as well as the Southern Phoenix residential line.

Mathews joins the company from Burlington Industries where he had served as vice president of sales and merchadising and vice presdident of business development for Burlington House upholstery fabrics. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the furniture and upholstery fabrics markets to his new post.
