Hunter Douglas Appoints Finch
Ron Finch has been named to the newly created position of director of marketing development for the Hunter Douglas Window Fashions Division, Broomfield, CO. He will help direct the division's efforts in database marketing, market research and dealer education programs. Finch has more than 20 years experience as a domestic and international marketing consultant specializing in informercial product development, fulfillment centers, manufacturing, and marketing and distribution. Prior to joining the company he spent two years at Hunter Douglas Intermountain, a Hunter Douglas fabrication facility in Denver, CO, and Murray, UT, where most recently he served as sales manager. RollEase, Inc., Stamford, CT, has named new directors of national and international sales. Robert Bangser joins the company as director of international sales. He brings to his new post 15 years of sales and international distribution channel development experience for a durable-goods machinery manufacturer and expertise in developing distributors in the Far East, Europe and South America. All international sales personnel and customer service representatives will report to him. Rich Schneider has been promoted to director of national sales. His consistant performance in producing record sales in the Northeast territory combined with his prior sales management experience were noted in his promotion. He will have full responsibility for all domestic sales territories as well as customer service and the company's Expressly Yours program. Schneider joined RollEase in July 1995. Prior to that he was a sales manager for a home furnishings manufacturer headquartered in New York. Three Added at Empire
Empire Window Fashions, Chatsworth, CA, has announced three recent appointments. Robert C. Carr, ASID, has been named to the company's growing account executive team. He brings more than 25 years of experience in design management, sales and marketing to his new position. Carr has owned and operated his own design business and has served as a hands-on professor of interior design at two universities in Michigan. In his new role he will work to expand and develop new market territories in Arizona. Deborah Guay and Ivette Granados have been added as customer service representatives. New to the industry, but a 15-year veteran of customer service, Guay previously work at Federal Express. Granados started with Empire in the production department. Secker Joins American Hardwood
American Hardwood Co., Gardena, CA, announces Tim Secker, an industry veteran of more than 20 years, has joined the company as director of sales and marketing in the company's wood blind components division. Secker's extensive experience in component sales to the independent fabricator channel began in the late 1970s with LouverDrape and evolved most recently to the position of vice president fabricator division for Levolor Home Fashions. Superior Appoints Darroch in Midwest
Superior Shade & Blind Co., Pompano Beach, FL, has appointed Dennis Darroch as regional account manager for the Midwest region encompassing Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska. Darroch brings 20 years of window coverings experience to his new post. He has held various management positions with Joanna and Hunter Douglas. His new responsibilities will include service and solicitation of Superior programs in the vertical blinds and two-inch horizontal product categories. Gerber Named to BTX Southeast Region
Marc Gerber joins BTX Window Automation Inc., Dallas, TX, as Southeast regional sales manager. He will be based out of Florida and also will cover Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. Gerber has many years of window coverings experience. Immediately before joining BTX he served as contract sales manager for Sherland & Farrington in New York. Prior to that he was a sales manager for Kenney Drapery in Florida. Hirsch Promotes Levine
Hirsch International, Hauppauge, NY, has promoted Scott Levine to vice president of sales for the company's Mid-Atlantic region. For the past three years he has served as the region's assistant vice president. During that time, the Mid-Atlantic region experienced significant sales growth, according to a company statement. Levine joined the company in 1984. He is a grandson of company founder Harry Hirsch. ExpressLeads Names Ingemie, Schaffel
ExpressLeads, North Palm Beach, FL, announces the appointment of Donn Ingemie as sales and marketing director and Ellie Schaffel as account executive. Ingemie brings more than 20 years of experience in a variety of senior sales and marketing positions to his new post.
