In an era when we are constantly bombarded with bells and whistles and assorted marketing gimmicks, isn't it great when something that claims to be new and improved really is new and improved? Such is the case with the new searchable Directory & Buyer's Guide information located on the Draperies & Window Coverings Web site (www.dwcdesignet.com). We have invested much time and resources into developing this part of our site, which is actually a complicated data base or network of information bits that are linked to one other. The data base truly puts the entire window coverings and related industries at your fingertips-simply click on your mouse and begin navigating through thousands of supplier listing and hundreds of product categories. Here's how it works: You now can search for suppliers two ways, either through a product category search, which gives you the name of all suppliers who carry that product, or a company information search. You can investigate companies by their name (or just part of the name if you can't remember it exactly); by the trademarks or brands they carry; by the product names they carry; by where they are located; or even by their business type, such as manufacturer, fabricator, jobber, etc. Choose a widespread search, or an exact one. For example, do you want to find a company whose name, you think, has XYZ in it, is located in Michigan, is a fabricator and carries ABC brand? No problem! The different search buttons are easily identified; just type in the words or phrases and click a button to start the search. It's that easy! After months of production, we debuted the directory data base at the Internet Cafe hosted by Draperies & Window Coverings during the International Window Coverings Expo in Baltimore, MD.
