C & M WOOD NAMES BRYANT COO Paul Bryant has joined C & M Wood Industries, Inc. Hesperia, CA, as its new chief operating officer. Bryant will be responsible for all aspects of the business, including strategic planning, operations and financial coordination. Before joining C & M Wood, Bryant served as general manager for Lilly Industries, Inc. ADO PROMOTES MARLOWE, LEE; ADDS HOWARD ADO, Spartanburg, SC, announces the promotion of Mandi Marlow to marketing coordinator. Her primary responsibilities will be handling all consumer and trade advertising. She also will be responsible for marketing and implementing new product introductions and be liaison to industry contacts. Marlowe began her career with ADO in 1998 as administrative assistant. ADO also has promoted Sheila Lee to export sales coordinator. She has been with the company since April 1998 serving in the customer service department and in-house sales representative. Sherry Howard has joined the company as product design coordinator, a newly created position. Her responsibilities will include developing a new color line and new fabrics for ADO and traveling the country to identify trends in various regions. Howard brings 10 years previous work experience to her new post, having been employed by a textile company designing automotive and elastic fabrics. SOMFY RESTRUCTURES SALES DIVISION Somfy Systems, Inc., Cranbury, NJ, has restructured its sales division and consequently promoted three key employees. Don Taney was promoted to vice president of sales for Somfy North America. Taney has been in the company's sales division for more than 18 years and was formerly the national sales manager. As vice president of sales, he will lead the sales strategy and development efforts into the new millennium. Bill Wilcox, former Northeast regional sales manager, will replace Taney as the new national sales manager for Somfy U.S. He has 19 years of sales and operational experience with the company. Jim Ruh is the new Northeast regional sales manager. A part of the Somfy sales team for six years, Ruh was the market development manager for Integrated Systems previous to this promotion. He now is responsible for providing technical, sales and service support to the Northeast accounts in all markets. WINDOW FASHIONS WELCOMES SALES LUKOMSKI Window Fashions, Inc., Cheswick, PA, welcomes Heidi Lukomski to its inside sales department as sales assistant. Lukomski brings to her position more than 12 years of office management experience. |
UNIQUE WHOLESALE ADS SENERIZ Unique Wholesale, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, has added a new member to its staff. Mike Sineriz has been named motorization division manager. He brings previous experience in the field to his new position and will help make Unique Wholesale the choice in motorization in Florida. Unique Wholesale is a longtime Somfy Systems dealer and now is a Silent Gliss, USA fabricator of drapery rods and vertical tracks. IFDA NAMES OFFICERS FOR 2001 Peggy C. Koskiniemi, manager of the Donghia showroom, Dallas, TX, has been named president of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA), Washington, DC. Koskiniemi, a member of the Southwest chapter, will head the organization for 2001. Serving with her as president-elect is Minneapolis-based designer, Kathleen D. Saterbak. Richard Hammar, director of product development, Hinkley Lighting, Cleveland, OH; and Vickee Enteen, director of public relations, Stroheim & Romann, New York, NY, are newly elected directors-at-large. Directors-at-large continuing from the previous year include Helen Wagner, 3M public relations; Thomas William, Hale-Williams; Mark Vonnahme, Verona Marble; and Sharon Hartman, Hartman House. New appointments to the IFDA board include vice president-finance/treasurer, William Hopper, WWH Restoration; vice president-membership, Frank Denzer, Robert Allen/Beacon Hill fabrics; vice president membership, Jeanne Barnhart, Jeanne Barnhart Interiors; vice president-programs and special events, Chantelle Engle, San Francisco Mart; and vice president-Internet communications, Judith Clark, Judith Clark Designs. HUNTER DOUGLAS ANNOUNCES NEW POSITION, PROMOTION Hunter Douglas Window Fashions, Broomfield, CO, announces George Sharpe, vice president of the New Products Business Unit, has been appointed to the new role of vice president, New Concept Development. In this new position, Sharpe will be responsible for leading efforts to identify new product opportunities for all of Hunter Douglas North America ultimately leading the company into new business and market arenas. Sharpe began at the Window Fashions Division more than 10 years ago as director of market research and has had several previous promotions. Subsequently, Beth Hunt, vice president of operations for the Hunter Douglas Mfg. Group, was promoted to vice president of the New Products Business Unit. She will lead the efforts in the development and implementation of new products for Hunter Douglas North America. Hunt joined Hunter Douglas in May 2000 as vice president of business development. |
