Massachusetts Chapter Elects New Officers
The Northeast Massachusetts chapter elected new officers on February 19, 1997, at a metting in Tewkesbury, MA. Elected were: Carol Sackler, chairperson; Ellen Kaplan, assistant chairperson; Evelyn Greene, recording secretary; Charlene Sahakian, corresponding secretary; and Jodi Roos, treasurer.

Membership Enrollment at All-time High
New members are joining the established ranks in 1997 at the highest rate of enrollment in the history of the association. With the new benefits and programs that have been introduced by the present Board of Directors, independent decorators, interior designers, retail dealers, installers, workrooms and Industry Partners alike have realized the importance of the association.

Northeast Chapters Tour Workroom
Local chapters from Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania will tour the Mill Supply Drapery Division workroom in Little Ferry, NJ, on May 8, 1997.

As guests of Mill Supply, a WCAA Industry Partner, members will tour the workroom as part of the cooperation of educational opportunities available through the commitment to the success of the local chapter network.

Boston Certification Tests Held
Karla Nielson, administrator of the Certified Window Treatment Consultant program and exam, stated that the scores on the tests given at the Boston Curtain & Drapery Show February 27 to March 1, 1997, were the highest she has seen in a few years -- 80 percent of the class is now Certified Window Treatment Consultants.
