A Good Idea Gets Better

I came across this quotation recently and was immediately struck by how well it underscores the motivation behind so many of the faculty members who belong to Interior Fashions University (IFU). The vast majority of our speakers are practicing professionals who have placed a high priority on the exchange of ideas to better the industry, their peers and, as a result, their own businesses and careers.
What is the value of a single idea? According to one gentleman I spoke with at the recent World of Window Coverings[TM] show, the pursuit of a single good idea was his reason for being there. I was helping him decide on seminars to attend, and he wanted to take two seminars that overlapped in the same time period as he was interested in learning about both topics. Try as I might to dissuade him, he bought passes to both seminars and was going to attend all of the first one, and the second half of the other! His reasoning was quite clear: "M'am," he said, "all I have to do is gain one idea from each seminar and I have more than made back my investment." The breadth of the Interior Fashions University program truly offers something for everyone (and, it seems, multiple opportunities for many). In preparing their seminar programs, faculty members adhere to the strict guidelines of the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET), which means each and every program delivers the highest level of professionalism and education. That's good news for the thousands of industry professionals who attend IFU seminars held each year in conjunction with the Boston Curtain & Drapery Show, the World of Window Coverings and the Pacific Home Fashion Fair. And now there's more good news: the unparalleled IFU program is going on the road. Beginning this fall, industry professionals will have the opportunity to attend IFU courses held during two-day regional conferences across the country. Exact locations and dates will be announced soon. So if learning -- and sharing -- new ideas is part of your strategy for success, then you need to learn more about the thousands of business-building ideas presented by the esteemed faculty of IFU. If you have a penny and I have a penny and we exchange pennies, you still have one cent and I still have one cent. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange ideas, you now have two ideas and I now have two ideas.
