ADO HIRES NEW EXECUTIVE VP, MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
ADO Corp., Spartanburg, SC, recently announced the hiring of Walter Herr as its new executive vice president for the Americas and Tara Smith as its new marketing communications manager for North America.
Herr’s duties will include leadership and management of all business, sales, marketing and production elements for the company’s Americas division. He received an MBA from the University of Kiel in northern Germany and has extensive career experience in similar leadership roles where he has accelerated business growth for companies in Europe, Asia and North America.
“I look forward to building relationships with ADO’s current business partners in order to evolve the company’s business and marketing efforts,” states Herr. “In order to be a preferred partner in our industry we plan to work closely with our customers in order to increase brand awareness and loyalty among various audiences nationwide.”
Smith’s duties will include management and coordination of the company’s marketing communications efforts throughout the United States and in Canada. She has combined career experience in public relations, advertising and brand management fields for national consumer, trade and commercial brands, as well as with local and regional professional services companies.
COMFORTEX AWARDS TOP SALES EFFORTS
Comfortex Window Fashions, Maplewood, NY, has named Heather Calkins its 2006 Territory Sales Manager of the Year.
Calkins, whose territory covers the San Diego region of Southern California, was honored at the President’s Club Council Meeting held March 31 to April 1 at the Venetian Resort, Las Vegas, NV.
Several other Comfortex territory sales managers were recognized at the meeting for exceeding sales goals and performance objectives throughout 2006. They were: Robby Marusak, central and eastern Pennsylvania; Drew Livingood, Virginia, North Carolina and Myrtle Beach, SC; Jason Sughrue, northern California and Nevada; and Bob Adams, southern Florida.
Regional Sales Manager Dennis Madison was recognized for his outstanding contributions in the western United States.
BTX APPOINTS LEMON TO NATIONAL SALES TEAM
BTX Window Automation, Dallas, TX, has appointed Patti Lemon its Florida sales representative.
Lemon brings 25 years of experience in sales and marketing of draperies, blinds and motorization. In this role she will support the business of new and existing clients within the Florida territory.

Techniku, Broomfield, CO, welcomes Nicki Everhart as its new international supply chain and operations manager.
Everhart joins Techniku with several years of supply chain and material management experience including significant knowledge of the electronic aspect of the window coverings industry. From her previous experience, Everhart will provide strategic planning and implementation of several initiatives including transitioning new products to final production, planning production and capacity utilization, improve sourcing and support of the international forecast. |
