SWINEHART NAMED IDD SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR

Jim Swinehart, manager of the Hunter Douglas National Franchise Group, was named Supplier of the Year by Interiors by Decorating Den (IDD) at its annual conference held in May in Nashville, TN (see D&WC, July 2007, page 14).

This award is voted on by all of Decorating Den’s more than 500 franchise owners. “The owners vote for the one vendor representative who goes above and beyond in customer service, someone who is fair, on top of things and who always treats our franchise owners with respect,” said Sue Pelley, IDD director of corporate communications.

“I am greatly honored by this award. It is always a pleasure to work with the owners of the Decorating Den franchises,” Swinehart said. “The innovative products and excellent marketing and training programs synonymous with Hunter Douglas enables us to provide our customers with optimum service.”

BTX PROMOTES HAMILTON TO CUSTOMER SERVICES MANAGER

BTX Window Automation, Dallas, TX, has promoted Jennifer Hamilton to the position of customer services manager. In her new role, Hamilton will continue to build on BTX’s reputation for customer service and technical support.

Hamilton brings seven years of expertise as an automation specialist in the BTX technical support/customer service department, plus four years combined experience as an office manager/account representative for technology companies.

SZLACHETKA NEW UNIQUE WHOLESALE REP
Unique Wholesale, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, has hired Rosie Szlachetka as its newest sales representative.

Szlachetka started in the window coverings industry as a retail dealer in central Florida in 2001. After four years of working closely with the local Graber fabricator, she went to work for them as a regional sales representative, later moving in to the role of director of sales.
