HOPKINS NAMED BLINDCRAFTER OF THE YEAR
Jim Hopkins, Accent Verticals, Boring, OR, has been named 2006 National BlindCrafter of the Year at the fourth annual National BlindCrafter Convention in June.
Hopkins has been in business for 20 years and a BlindCrafter since Comfortex Corp. began the program in 1992. He has consistently demonstrated his business savvy and dedication to the window treatments industry, according to a statement from Comfortex.
With 300 BlindCrafters nationwide Comfortex stated that Hopkins was chosen to recognize his embodiment of the BlindCrafter strategy and his remarkable business growth as a BlindCrafter. Hopkins also was presented the 2006 Western Region BlindCrafter of the Year Award.
KINZIE DRIVES HOME A WINNER
Nate Kinzie, D & M Blinds, St. George, UT, was presented a customizable 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan for his business by Comfortex Corp. at its fourth annual National BlindCrafter Convention.
Kinzie chose the winning briefcase in a Deal or No Deal-style game, which left him holding the keys to the van.
ESHENBAUGH NAMED INSIDE SALES MANAGER
Window Fashions, Inc., Cheswick, PA, announces the appointment of Linda Eshenbaugh to Inside Sales Manager. She is responsible for coordinating between inside and outside sales dealer support and sales merchandising. Eshenbaugh brings previous managerial experience to her new post.
COMFORTEX WELCOMES NEW HEALTH, SAFETY MANAGER
Comfortex Window Fashions, Maplewood,NY, welcomes Gary Fobare as its Environmental Health and Safety Manager. He will oversee all health and safety measures at the company’s facilities along with compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) guidelines and permit recording.
Prior to joining the company Forbare was employed at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory and owned several of his own businesses.
SANI APPOINTS FORSYTH
Sani, Suwanee, GA, announces the appointment of Kevin Forsyth as Equipment Sales Manager. He comes to the company with more than 30 years of experience in the window fashions industry and has extensive fabricator and retail experience. Forsyth has spent the last 21 years with Superior Design Products, a wholesale fabricator in Tampa FL, where he was involved in all aspects of the business.
