COMFORTEX ANNOUNCES TWO APPOINTMENTS, ADDS SALES MANAGERS

Comfortex Corp., Maplewood, NY, has made several changes within its organization.

Larry Silberman has been appointed to the new position of National BlindCrafter Sales Specialist. This position was created to recruit, train and develop the company’s BlindCrafter network. In addition to recruiting new dealers, Silberman will help formulate programs that will stimulate brand recognition and growth. He also will help oversee the development of the Florida Builder Program.

Previously, Silberman was Territory Sales Manager for the company’s Northern Illinois/Wisconsin market. He has been the winner of numerous Comfortex President’s Club award honors.

John Mullaney has been promoted to Phoenix (AZ) Fabrication Plant Manager. He will be responsible for maximizing profit from the operation while maintaining the quality, productivity and safety of the facility.

Mullaney joined the company in 2003 as Production Manager at the Phoenix facility and assisted in the implementation and development of Woodwinds® Plantation Shutters.

Suzanne Welbourn has been named Territory Sales Manager for Northern Illinois/Wisconsin, replacing Silberman. She brings knowledge and industry experience to her new position. Her background includes sales, project management, business development, marketing services, merchandising and customer service. Previously she was vice president of sales and marketing at Harrison Marketing Services and sales and project management director for U.S. Sample Corp.

Erica Cottrill joins the company as Territory Sales Manager for the Los Angeles/Central California region. She brings more than five years of retail experience to her new post. Most recently she was a sales manager for a major optical retailer.

GCWC HIRES BUILDER ALLIANCE COORDINATOR

Gulf Coast Window Covering (GCWC), Houston, TX, announces the addition of Christine Wolpert as its Builder Alliance Coordinator for the Texas market. In this new position, Wolpert will be responsible for establishing relationships with the builder network as well as aligning new and existing dealer accounts with this vast distribution channel for Hunter Douglas products.

Prior to joining Gulf Coast, Wolpert served as the Director of Training and Education for Hunter Douglas Window Fashions. She brings more than 11 years of industry sales, training and management experience to the position as well as an extensive knowledge of all Hunter Douglas window covering products.

Gulf Coast Window Covering is a full-line fabricator of Hunter Douglas Window Fashions.

PORTER PRESTON ADDS KOERNER

Porter Preston, Waterbury CT, has announced the addition of Gail Koerner to its customer service department. In this position she will provide customer service and technical support.

Koerner has more than 24 years of experience in the window treatment business. She has worked in retail and is well known in the industry as a professional installer of window treatments. Her extensive product knowledge and technical background will prove to be beneficial as Porter Preston continues its focus with providing quality products, services and lasting customer partnerships.

Porter Preston is a full-line Levolor Kirsch fabricator and distributor.
