HFPA NAMES RAND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Home Fashion Products Association (HFPA), New York, NY, announces the appointment of Elisabeth (Lisa) Rand to Executive Director. Effective immediately, Rand replaces the immediate past executive director, Carolynn Jennings.

Rand is an employee of the Kellen Co., a leading professional services firm that manages professional and trade associations and other home fashion related organizations including the Window Covering Manufacturers Association (WCMA) and the International Interior Design Association’s New York Chapter (IIDA-NY).

In her newly appointed role, Rand will provide leadership and staff support to HFPA’s board of directors and member companies. She also will work closely with HFPA’s committees to strengthen organizational operations and activities. Rand will continue to remain active in the association management industry as a member of the New York Society of Association Executive's Membership Committee.

HFPA is a not-for-profit organization of home fashion manufacturers and suppliers committed to the advancement of the home fashion products industry.

HELSER BROTHERS ADDS TWO METAL SPECIALIST

Helser Brothers Inc., Chandler, AZ, had added two new positions to its drapery hardware manufacturing facility.

Dan Troutman is the new Director of Product Development. Troutman is a master metalsmith and will manage pre-production prototypes of new products. He has an extensive background in product development, project engineering and education.

Ted Woods has joined the company as resident Blacksmith/Metal Artist. Woods has been a noted Arizona metal artist for more than 30 years. He will manage a classic metal forge on-site and will add his talents to the Helser Brothers’ design team.

“We are preparing to launch a revolutionary new concept in window treatment hardware in 2006. Adding specialized metalsmiths will increase our ability to design on-site and fabricate new products the way it used to be done . . . at the anvil,” said Jason Helser, president.

PANAGROSSO JOINS PORTER PRESTON CUSTOMER SERVICE

Porter Preston, Waterbury CT, has announced the addition of Mandy Panagrosso to its customer service department.

While new to the industry, Panagrosso has more than 10 years of customer service experience. To ensure Porter Preston maintains its high standards for meeting customer needs, she will be responsible for providing prompt, high-quality customer service. In addition, Panagrosso will oversee all of the company’s sampling requirements and maintain its drapery hardware inventory.

Porter Preston is a full-line Levolor Kirsch fabricator and distributor.
