NOTES
NEW EXECUTIVE OFFICERS ELECTED
WCAA announced its incoming executive officers in April at an association
reception held during the International Window Coverings Expo.
President is Beth Hodges, owner of Beth Hodges Soft Furnishings in
Elberton, GA. Vice president is Teresa Grysikiewicz, owner of Interior
Attire in Jacksonville, FL. Treasurer is Larry Lariviere, Larry’s
Custom Interiors in Portsmouth, NH.
All three have held various positions on WCAA’s national board
for several years and look forward to continue serving the association
and its membership in their new positions.
Many thanks go to outgoing president, Bruce Heyman, owner of Fabricland
Interiors in North Plainfield, NJ (see D&WC, December 2001, page
24) Heyman has served on the board for many years and will continue
to provide a wealth of industry knowledge to the association.
Welcome to the newest WCAA board members, Bob Hipps, Hipps & Co.,
Inc., in Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and Margaret DeGange, DeGange Interiors
in College Station, TX.
LATEST CHAPTER INFO
Below is a list of the newest and upcoming WCAA local chapters. We
are especially excited to have a potential chapter starting this summer
in Santa Cruz, CA. Call Lois to get on the list. Check out the WCAA
Web site, www.wcaa.org, for a detailed list of all the chapters.
The WCAA national office provides financial support for new chapters
as well as incentives for chapter growth. Teresa Grysikiewicz, Chapter
Development Assistant, guides chapter coordinators through the start-up
process.
WCAA Industry Partners (vendors and suppliers) have done a great job
at supporting our new and existing chapters. The Web site lists all
vendors who support WCAA through the Industry Partner program and
how to join.
