WCAA NOTES

ANNUAL RECEPTION AT IWCE

Please join WCAA at its cocktail party at the International Window Coverings Expo in Baltimore, MD. The party is at the Wyndam Hotel, Wednesday, April 14. Call the WCAA office, Mark Nortman, at (888) 298-9222 for more details.
FIVE NEW CHAPTERS GET UNDERWAY

The WCAA started five new chapters in February and March. The Long Island (NY) Chapter held its first meeting on February 26. Jean Fuoco, chapter coordinator and owner of Window Dressings by Jean in Patchogue, NY, was excited to have 16 attendees from various aspects of the window coverings industry. There were workroom owners, decorators, several Ethan Allen representatives, an On-Site owner, and a few ASID designers in attendance.

Jean says that although most people did not know each other, the room was buzzing within minutes. Everyone was eager to meet again, so Jean has already planned the next couple meetings.

The Denver (CO) Chapter held its first meeting on March 5, the Highpoint (NC) Chapter on March 12, and Charleston (SC) Chapter on March 18.
FOR MORE CHAPTER INFORMATION

The WCAA Web site, www.wcaa.org, has a detailed list of all its chapters, contact information, meeting dates and topics. Check it out.

The WCAA national office provides financial support for new chapters as well as incentives for chapter growth. Teresa Grysikiewicz, chapter development assistant, guides chapter coordinators through the start-up process.

WCAA Industry Partners (vendors and suppliers) have done a great job at supporting new and existing chapters. The Web site lists all vendors who support WCAA through the Industry Partner program and how to join.

For details on starting a chapter, call Mark at the WCAA office, (888) 298-9222, or e-mail Teresa Grysikiewicz at curtainpro@aol.com.
